The Light-Filled Kitchen
A dated, dark kitchen reimagined as a bright, warm space for cooking and gathering — with classic white cabinetry, soft brass, and natural textures.
The Brief
The original kitchen felt heavy and closed-in, with orange-toned oak, dark counters, and busy tile. The goal was a timeless kitchen that felt open and bright while staying warm and livable for everyday family life.
What We Did
- Refreshed the layout around a functional center island
- Selected classic white cabinetry with clean, timeless profiles
- Added a statement range hood as the room’s focal point
- Layered lighting with pendants over the island and a sculptural fixture above the breakfast table
- Styled the breakfast nook with a round table and soft upholstered seating
The Finishes
- White shaker-style cabinetry
- Soft brass hardware and faucet
- White quartz countertops and slab backsplash
- Natural wood range hood
- Opal glass globe pendants with brass detailing
- Woven drum chandelier over the dining table
